STREET

VERVE

FEATURED PRESENTATION

Street Verve is a time travel  cinematic voyage to the human soul of New Yorkers, capturing candid every day life moments, animated characters and evolving narratives. Combined with a poster like graphic design, it translates into feelings and words that connect with the passerby in an immersive and engaging way.

Street Verve, is a journey into the daily frenetic pace of New York city, from its intense and fast paced boroughs to the vibrant beaches at Coney Island.  Opening doors to every day moments, it explores the pulse of the city, a strong spirit, a verve, that transpires through every photograph.

FEATURED ARTISTS  /  LAUREN WELLES

Born in New York City, Lauren Welles is an award-winning photographer and former corporate attorney who left an unfulfilling 16-year career to follow her passion for photography.  She is attracted to ideas and stories that display our commonalities as people; she believes that, as human beings, we are much more alike than we are different. One of her greatest joys is to make candid photographs of people, in which a single frame can tell a multitude of stories.

Her work has been exhibited at various venues around the world and published in numerous publications, including, the New York Times, La Repubblica in Italy, CBS News, The New Yorker, and Slate Magazine. Welles recently served as a curator for the group photography exhibition, “Greetings from Coney Island” at the Charles P. Sifton Gallery in New York City.
