WELCOME TO THE LARGEST OUTDOOR PUBLIC INTERACTIVE ART PLATFORM,
WHERE REALITY AND FANTASY BECOMES INTERTWINED THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS.
COOLTURE IMPACT makes its debut on the 42nd street side at the Port Authority Bus Terminal (PABT), one of the busiest transportation hubs in New York City, with over 250,000 daily commuters and about 200,000 tourists passing through the Times Square area.
At the edge of new digital frontiers, this platform is an incubator for exploration with new technologies, art content, and social interaction. It creates a new paradigm in storytelling, where art in digital form is activated by, and exposed to, large audiences. Viewers are invited to experience and interact with art in a personal and exciting way, becoming an intrinsic part of the soulful artworks of their featured artists.
COOLTURE IMPACT provides a new technological environment in which works of responsive art are delivered to mass audiences. It is a responsive art facility comprised of NOIRFLUX’s site-specific implementation of its Interaction Framework software system, sensed by ZED depth cameras provided by STEREOLABS, to specific responses from the featured artwork’s programming, that are--in real-time--presented through the LED video wall displays provided by LEYARD & PLANAR.
WITH THANKS TO ALL THE CORPORATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS THAT THROUGH THEIR INCONDITIONAL SUPPORT
MADE THIS UNIQUE PROJECT A REALITY
